Can I transfer credits into my online degree?
If your program is accredited, they will usually accept transferred credits from other accredited schools or universities and, depending on your degree and course of study, be able to apply those credits toward your graduation.
Can I set my own schedule in an online education?
Inasmuch as you follow the syllabus and schedule of assignments due laid out by your professor at the beginning of the semester, yes, you are completely free to go where and do what you please. You can go to the beach and surf in the morning, or enjoy a picnic in the afternoon, take your kids to an amusement park for the day, and when you get home, do some reading, write a small paper, make a discussion board posting, and keep up with your work.
How much does it cost to get an online degree?
The amount required to finish your online degree is going to vary depending on which school you choose to go to and which degree program you wish to pursue. Whether or not you are transferring any credit in from another school (such as a community college), will affect the overall cost as well. In general you can expect to spend less in pursuing an online education compared to a traditional one.
Can I get financial aid for my online degree
If the school you are attending is accredited and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, then yes, you will be eligible to receive most forms of financial aid, including federal financial aid, private loans, grants, and scholarships. Can I use a degree earned online to pursue a higher degree at another school?
In most cases you absolutely can. As long as the online school you choose to attend is accredited and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The Department of Education publishes a list of schools that are considered acceptable authorities at providing higher education.
